Friends hello – I hope it was a Happy Thanksgiving and a relaxing long weekend.
My parents and I are in Houston celebrating the weekend with Will and his parents. There’s coffee and football (and I honestly still couldn’t tell you what 3rd and 14 is) we’ve got a 1000 piece puzzle on the table and someone cheers each time we connect a single piece. We’ve all decided that 500 pieces puzzles are our max these days. My bad for bringing this 1000 pieces nightmare.
I made a French Silk Pie and Dad and I made a Sweet Potato Pie together virtually for a Bakehouse class. It was SO GREAT that I’m going to have to find a way to have Dad teach more classes with me. It was a family affair. Mom, Will, and his parents were sitting in the background watching the whole show.
It’s been a really lovely holiday – those ones you really just sit around and enjoy together. I value the time so much. My favorite has been the Saturday family bike ride in which we carted all of the Jorgensen’s old bikes out of the garage and took theme for a spin.
I hope your holiday has been memorable and warm. I hope you’ve made your way through the leftovers. I’m hoping for a Turkey Pot Pie and a batch of Cranberry Cornmeal Scones.
More for you next week, friends!
Enjoy your Sunday!
My love to you!

Happy belated Thanksgiving! I’m so glad you got to spend time with them. You all are so lovely. And I feel you on 1000 piece puzzles in a short time! One of my contributions to the family meal was your mulled wine fruit bars -big success!

Made the pumpkin trifle dessert from your magazine (except I made pound cake instead of buying the frozen ones) and it was a RAVE!!!!!!! Really wonderful recipe, thank you!!
